These two gentlemen were the first ones to bring the rich musical culture of the French Gypsies living in Camargue to the entire world. They created a foundation for their heirs to carry on for generations to come.

The first Gipsy group to form was LOS REYES. As siblings and relatives grew physically and musically, LOS REYES was set to undergo several transformations: In 1987 a new generation was growing up and the passionate Gipsy music began to appeal to a younger and ever-growing public. Joses sons, Nicolas, Canut, Paul along with their cousins Antonico and Manuel, Tonino and Diego Baliardo together with one of Nicolas´ brothers-in-law, Abdul Bouchiqui (Chico) began travelling around the world and bring with them the ingredients for the irresistible ´Fiesta Gitana´: charming rhythms, pure emotions and love of life

In 1988 the group divided : Antonico and his brother Tony, Canut along with his brother Pachaï and Manuel Reyes remained together under the original name. A second Gipsy group formed under the name of GIPSY KINGS – actually the translation of the familys name ´Reyes´ = kings and their origins ´gitan´ = gipsy.

As time passed, the members of the two groups changed and Antonico, leader of LOS REYES, also known as BANDAGIPSYS, integrated a new generation of truly gifted musical talents from within his family
