Few artists transitioned from the Disco era as successfully as Evelyn Champagne King. Here was an artist tagged as a Disco Diva and had set dance floors ablaze with her Disco smash hit Shame, yet with a new decade and the demise of disco fast approaching, Evelyn was set to shake things up once more.
Evelyn’s first two albums went Gold. In 1981 RCA teamed King up with two fresh new songwriters and producers, Kashif and Paul Laurence, to deliver her fourth release – I’M IN LOVE.

The first single, I ‘M IN LOVE gave Evelyn Champagne King reached the top forty in the US and UK pop charts but more importantly gave Evelyn her first R&Band USDance Chart #1 single. The album also features notable hits such as DON’T HIDE OUR LOVE and SPIRIT OF THE DANCER which both brought further R&B chart success. BBR is very proud to present this newly remastered and fantastically re-packaged expanded edition of I’M IN LOVE, complete with new extensive liner note featuring interviews with Evelyn Champagne King, Kashif and Paul Laurence with added bonus tracks.
