Originally hailing from Louisville, Kentucky, The Niteliters not only recorded numerous albums as the backing band for the R&B/Funk group New Birth, but also recorded several albums under their own name in the tradition of The J.B. s and The Meters. Released in 1973, A-NAL-Y-SIS was THE NITE-LITERS third and final R&B Top Fifty album, charting at #34. Long sought-after by R&B fans, All music described this album as a crate-digger s gold mine and possibly the best work of their career.
