Michael Johnson one of the founders of Silver Platinum is a Miami native, his musical career started in his teens when he played bass for popular Latino recording artist Ray Fernandez. Eager to branch out into another direction, Michael and two childhood friends, Gary Cooper and Jerry McCormick formed the group SILVER PLATINUM. 
Two singles were released from the album “You Can't See It” and “Dance” which was a hit on the R&B charts. But due to lack of success the group fell apart and Michael then went on to play Lead guitar and to sing and record as a member of the Grammy Award winning reggae band Inner Circle.   

Silver Platinum is a highly in demand album by 80’s Funk and Soul fans all over the world.
