Robert Strauss, featuring the classic sounding voice of Stuart Lisbie, plus core members of Amy Winehouse’s touring band.
Expansion is delighted to present, for the first time on CD, remasterd from the original master tapes, the 1981 album “Gonna Tell The World” by Alton McCalin & Destiny. Polydor Record signed them in the 70s while searching for their answer to Diana Ross & The Supremes. They became more like The Emotions and on “Gonna Tell The World” worked with Earth Win & Fire songwriter Skip Scarborough. The album includes the dance hit “My Destiny” (the full length 12” mix added as a bonus track) and the ‘rare groove’ classic “Making Room For Love”. Album full of quality gems, “Why Did You Let Me Love You” a feature on Expansion’s compilation “Skip Scarborough Songbook” and “Answer To My Prayer” on Expansion’s compilation “Wonderland – The Spirit Of Earth Wind & Fire”.
