2008 was het beste jaar voor Armin ooit. Zowel zijn album "Imagine" als zijn dvd "Armin in Jaarbeurs" kwamen op #1 binnen in de charts en voor het 2e jaar op rij werd Armin afgelopen maand, net als vorig jaar, uitgeroepen is tot nr.1 DJ van de wereld door de lezers van het Britse tijdschrift DJ Mag. Op 12 december zal het 4de deel uit gebracht worden na 3 succesvolle delen die de afgelopen 3 jaar zijn gereleased van de A STATE OF TRANCE YEARMIX reeks. Niet alleen biedt A STATE OF TRANCE YEARMIX 2008 een fantastisch overzicht van de grootste Trance hits van afgelopen jaar gebaseerd op de votinglist van ASOT radioshow (in Nederland te beluisteren op SLAM FM), waarvan de stemmen op deze lijst van luisteraars over zo'n 100 verschillende landen uit de hele wereld komen.
