Throughout the seventies and eighties DENIECE WILLIAMS released a string of successful works on Columbia/ARC Records, scoring certified Gold selling albums on both labels along with numerous appearances across the US and UK charts.
I’M SO PROUD was released in 1983, production being split between Deniece, Bill Neale and George Duke. It reached the #10 R&B spot and also #54 in the Pop chart. It was released the year before Deniece gained the R&B #1 with ‘Let’s Hear It For The Boy’ from "Footloose”.
DO WHAT YOU FEEL saw Deniece get yet another R&B top ten hit.
I’M SO PROUD gained Deniece the R&B #28 position and is a great cover of The Impressions R&B #2 hit from 1964.
