Eugene Record – Welcome To My Fantasy

Eugene Record (born December 23, 1940 - died July 22, 2005) was an American singer, songwriter, arranger and record producer. He was the lead vocalist of a Chicago based soul/funk group The Chi-Lites from 1960s to 1970s. He wrote and produced many of their hits, but he also produced for other artists.


The Third and final solo album by Eugene Record ‘Welcome To My Fantasy’ is from 1979, this CD issue includes the non-album disco hit ‘Magnetism’ and medley flip side. The crisp dancers ‘Pain for Pleasure’ and ‘Sweet Insanity’ and the slow ballad ‘Help Yourself to love’ are the highlight tracks. ‘Fan the Fire’, ‘Where are you’ and ‘Welcome to my fantasy’ are more disco oriented tracks.
