With a career spanning more than 4 decades and numerous appearances in the charts and the music award circuit, Grammy Hall Of Fame inductee, Patti LaBelle sealed fate her as one of the great American Divas. Patti LeBelle started singing at church and later formed a singing group called Patti Labelle and the Bluebelles, later know as LaBelle. Patti and her group enjoyed many chart hits during their 15 years together including their number one, gold selling single Lady Marmalade.
In 1979 Patti LaBelle released her 3rd solo effort for Epic Records. It’s Alright With Me enlisted the production and writing genius of Grammy Award Winner, Skip Scarborough. The album had a long run of chart success and reached #33 on the US R&B charts along with the albums title song scoring a top 40 R&B position. The R&B/disco stomper Music Is My Way Of Life soon became an ultimate disco classic.
