Soul Togetherness 2008.

The 9th edition of “Soul Togetherness” delivers a signature mix of the year’s top modern soul floor fillers and revivals, and raises the bar again with the sheer quality and depth of the collection. From America we include George Benson and the highly sought after mix of “When Love Calls” (produced by Bluey of Incognito), Teddy Pendergrass “My People” (has been massive all year), Sherree Brown (with one of the biggest underground soul tunes of last 18 months).

But many of this year’s key tunes are again from Europe, and in our endeavor to unite some ‘World Soul’ there is brilliant new music here from Bennson (actually Australia’s answer to Jamiroquai who lives in Sweden), Peo (Sweden again c/o Sundae Soul Recordings out of Germany), Sophia Nelson (from Ghana, lives in Paris “Woman In Love” one of the year’s top new tunes), Cool Million (from Denmark, group’s album shaping up as massive for Expansion), and not forgetting three HUGE tracks this year out of the UK by The Sunburst Band, Reel People and Gina Foster. The release is once again released in conjunction with the Togetherness soul weekender taking place in Blackpool.
